The company feels that this new site better reflects its positioning in the marketplace and the professional, knowledgeable and cutting-edge values it is recognised for.

As well as featuring a new, sleek design, the website has seen significant functionality changes which improves ease of use for customers whilst providing a one stop shop for any and all engineering needs. These changes are highlighted below.

A key area of improvement Cutwel identified immediately was page load time and search speed. The new website now features lightning fast load times which are, on average, 50% faster than the previous site.

Sometimes websites can be overloaded with information and you can easily get lost on busy pages with no clear path to find what you need. The user experience was at the forefront of this project and by identifying some of the common issues from the previous site it allowed Cutwel to provide the best solutions.

Whilst the previous site contained lots of quality product data, there were still further enhancements to make. Many of our products have been updated to feature more dimensions, cutting data, product videos and more.

A major area of concern when developing the new look website was that the previous offering did not translate well onto mobile and tablet devices. Significant time was invested in ensuring the mobile site featured all the features of the desktop version and no compromises were made.

What this resulted in is that mobile page load speed increased by 738%.

Search is the most popular way Cutwel customers shop online. Getting accurate and relevant results when searching was paramount to provide the best possible ecommerce experience.
